As you all know, the Lord has been giving us a message. He has been warning us and instructing us in what we need to do to avoid the consequences in the warning. Prayer is a major part of that instruction.

Ever since my last post about dad's sermon, the Lord has been preaching to us along similar lines. We are to be about our Lord's business, telling people the Good News of Jesus Christ.

I have never watched the entire Charlie Brown Christmas program, that I can remember, ever. It's on every year, and it's always on at my house for the kids. We don't really watch it, it's just there for background noise. This year, something caught my attention and I watched the last few minutes of it with great joy and excitement.

October has been set aside as Pastor Appreciation Month, and I thank the congregation for the nice gift and the appreciation. Appreciation is needed for all of us.

I've been listening to some preaching on the state of preaching in the church in America and it doesn't seem to be good. It is watered down entertainment at best, and heresy at worst. Today, I saw some statistics that really drive this point home.
